Responsibilities:

Quality Control & Laboratory Management -

• Lead and manage quality control, technology transfer and regulatory support activities.
• Ensure the quality of all incoming raw materials, packaging materials, active ingredients and finished goods, and maintain proper quarantine procedures.
• Manage laboratory operations and assets (tangible and intangible) in line with established processes and procedures.
• Inspect market-returned products, segregate QC-compliant from non-compliant items, and instruct the relevant departments on necessary action.
• Monitor the water quality of the Effluent Treatment Plant (ETP) and report findings to the concerned department.

Analytical & Technical Development - 

• Develop and validate new technologies, processes and analytical methods related to laboratory activities.
• Interpret and analyse data generated from analytical instruments such as GC, GC-MS, LC and LC-MS. Prepare supporting documentation for method validation, including certification and accreditation records, and maintain analytical records.

Compliance, Audit & Documentation - 

• Maintain and update QC and R&D documents, including specifications, SOPs, MSDS, process sheets, methods of analysis and test reports.
• Prepare documentation and maintain readiness for ISO/IEC 17025 accreditation.
• Participate in internal, SQA and SCJ audits, and implement corrective and preventive actions based on audit observations and recommendations.

Collaboration & Team Leadership - 

• Coordinate with Production, Warehouse, Commercial, Business and other internal and external stakeholders.
• Build and lead an effective team, ensuring optimal use of resources.
• Carry out all responsibilities in compliance with organizational requirements and guidelines, and undertake any other assignments given by management.

Education Requirement :

• Minimum M.Sc. in Chemistry, Applied Chemistry or a related discipline from a reputed public or foreign university

Additional Requirement :

• Minimum 12 years in relevant industries (FMCG, Paints, Agrochemicals, Pharmaceuticals or related sectors) 

• Having knowledge in Chemical analysis, analytical method development and the chemical industry.

• Hands-on knowledge of sophisticated analytical instruments (GC, GC-MS, GC-MS/MS, LC, LC-MS, LC MS/MS, AAS, etc.).

• Experience in interpreting chromatographic analyses and developing analytical methods.
• Understanding of QC/QA processes in chemical, pharmaceutical or allied laboratories and industries.
• Knowledge of formulation recipes for agrochemicals, pharmaceuticals or food products.
• Knowledge of quality manual preparation and documentation under ISO/IEC and FAO standards.
